"floating images"

  The art project "Floating Images" is on display from May 25th til October 25th.
  Where 8 artists, partly from Deventer, show floating art installations in the Singelgracht in the Rijsterborgherpark. The temporary structures form a special setting for "Deventer op Stelten".
  The artists also exhibit additional work in the Kunstenlab under the name "Swell in Space".

"two sink, three float"

  In Rijsterborgherpark the Belgian group Studio Eclipse shows "Two Sink, Three Float".
  A dance in and on the water, in which three dancers find the balance with each other and with the elements. It is the well known game of human relationships of letting go, holding on and leaving.

"sómente"

  Teatro Só comes to Deventer with "Sómente".
  A tragic story about a lonely old man on a bench in a park. A performance which is moving and in which one may recognize someone.

  A new small act of the dutch street theater company Close-Act.
  Five actors play with the identity of businessmen. They march high level, in a hurry, and make room, swinging their briefcases.

  "I-Puppets" is a small act of the dutch group Close-Act.
  Three I-Puppets are the researchers of this planet, the explorers of our time. With wide eyes they look at you intently and walk through the crowd. Are they strange, funny or scary?

  The town square Brink is the setting for the poetic parade performance "Rêve d´Herbert" by Compagnie des Quidams.
  Twelve actors on stilts, dressed in white cloths, take the audience in their quest for light. They turn out to be big bloated figures and transform the square into a unique dream!

  An acrobatic performance on and around a red caravan, with four young acrobats, full of spectacular tricks with funny twists for young and old.

  European premiere! Exclusive to Deventer: the US dance group Kristina Isabelle Dance Company.
  The show "Levels &: Lines: The Moving Target" is inspired by the abstract and expressionist art of Joan Mitchell. With a fascination for the movement of the human body, the reputable choreographer Kristina Isabelle brings us a breathtaking show with seven dancers (some on stilts).

"transports exceptionnels"

  In "Transports Exceptionnels" of the French Beau Geste the relationship between man and machine is central. A poetic duet between dancer and excavator, with elegance and power brought great and sometimes rough, supported by classical music and opera.

"les roues de couleurs"

  One of the highlights of the festival is the dutch premiere of the energetic dance parade "Les Roues De Couleurs" of the french company Compagnie Off.
  9 meters high colorful wheels are rolled through the city by more than 30 dancers, wearing only clay and supported by live techno music.
  This festive spectacle can be seen on Friday and Saturday.

  A roller coaster of an acrobatic show with all its ups and downs, its thrills and waves of nausea - Noah takes us on a ride we will never forget! Normally a sweet soul with a talent for comical accidents, Noah has drunk more schnaps than is good for him and gets himself into a delightful mess of trouble. He decides to light the one lantern that is more tipsy and wobbly on its legs than he is. On top, 6 m off the ground, he sways and tumbles around the lamp, grabbing anything in reach - including people´s belongings! - swaying from side to side so far over the heads of the audience that everybody asks themselves: How come the thin pole doesn´t break? And how come Noah doesn´t fall down? (Especially while doing the one-arm handstand!) Ah, those are but a few of the secrets of the Drunken MastEr...
