"réversible"

the 7 fingers (ca)

In their production "Réversible", the artists address how individual generations have lived over the past 150 years and their influence on our present-day society. They ask what influences those generations´ experiences of that time, subject as they were to a different pace and themes, have left on our DNA.
They do it by means of contemporary circus, with "The 7 Fingers" certainly counting among its absolute stars. Here theatre is combined with acrobatics, dance and music, with poetic, silent and elegant moments taking turns with real adrenaline-rushes; unexpected turns that raise goose bumps.
Addressing this theme of the generations before us, each artist has carried out his or her own genealogical research, artistically staging their own family histories in "Réversible", which gives the performance particular intensity and power.

"a simple space"

gravity & other myths (au)

Many things might be simple here, but certainly not the acrobatics. Critics worldwide excitedly expressed their enthusiasm and the Guardian even splashed the headline "A Total Triumph". The triumph in "Gravity &: Other Myths", as the title implies, is mainly over gravity, beautifully and creatively performed really close to the audience. Simple, in the sense of beautifully minimal, are the stage outfits, setting and lighting - which can be switched on and off by the artists themselves as they wish. The backdrop is a simple space amongst the audience and props are limited to a few hula-hoops and some balls. Indeed nothing more is necessary to engage with the audience in an intimate show, carried by great physical skill, twinkling eyes and the utmost suspense.
